Stylist and writer Monikh Dale is the first of our Grazia wedding beauty specials. She is a London-based fashion expert with a passion for high tech results-driven skincare. Her book Don’t Touch My Hair brought Emma Dabiri worldwide acclaim in 2019 – and her latest work What White People Can Do Next is out now. Emma is also a broadcaster and social history academic with both SOAS and Goldsmiths University. She is campaigning to make hair discrimination illegal under the UK Equalities Act.

TV personality, entrepreneur, and founder of the Trinny London cosmetics range, Trinny Woodall tells Joely why she decided to dedicate her working life to creating innovative beauty products. Her advice also includes going easy on the fake tan.
Episode Eight: Lorna Luxe
Lorna Luxe – AKA Lorna Andrews – started her career as an air hostess before launching her blog and Instagram account, which now has 1.3 million Instagram followers and counting. Loved for her style, travel and beauty content, Lorna’s regular outfit posts keep her audience hooked – and she’s now added entrepreneur and clothing designer to her CV. Her advice draws on her own experience with hair-thinning through androgenic alopecia. ‘If you’re someone listening to this and thinking, my hair is thin and there’s nothing I can do about it – there’s so much you can do!’
Episode Seven: Val Garland
Val Garland is L’Oreal Paris’ Global Make-up Director, and a judge on BBC Three’s make-up artist talent show Glow Up. She started her career in Australia, working with Kylie, Cate Blanchett, and a 15-year-old Nicole Kidman. In the 90s, she moved to London, and has worked with everyone from John Galliano to Erdem, Vivienne Westwood and the late Alexander McQueen.

A pioneering fashion blogger who launched her Bag Snob brand as long ago as 2005, Tina Craig is transforming the skincare market with her tech-driven, high performance brand UBeauty. She joins Joely from her home in Texas, and her tips include not plucking your eyebrows, and never washing your face with hot water.
Episode Five: Charli Howard
Alongside modelling for huge brands like Agent Provocateur and Pat McGrath, Charli Howard is an activist, author, podcast host, and brand founder. She tells Joely about launching and growing her own beauty brand Squish, and how she handled problem acne when she was younger.

After switching from life as a Paris banker, Freddie Harrel became a fashion blogger and started her ‘SHE Unleashed’ online workshop series, to help women gain confidence and feel better. She’s also launched her own afro hair-extension brand RadSwan.
