BEVERLY — Caldwell native Laken Figel opened her second Lifestyle Gym in Beverly Saturday.

Beverly Mayor Jim Ullman, Muskingum Valley Beverly-Waterford Chamber of Commerce Director Sam Skinner and chamber Treasurer Sabrina Adkins were all present to welcome the new business, as well as Figel’s mother Amy and grandmother Lois Starr.

The first Passionfit class in the new gym was held prior to the ribbon-cutting ceremony with a capacity crowd.

Figel opened her first Lifestyle Gym on the square in Caldwell just over two years ago.

“I have a list of communities that I am looking to open gyms in, and I am glad that my second one could be in Beverly,” Figel said. “I have several ladies from Beverly who have been coming to classes or to train in Caldwell, and they were the biggest influence in choosing Beverly for my second gym. I am excited to bring this opportunity to the people of Beverly and cannot wait to work with this community.”
