The Ardmore Rock N’ Ride Music Festival & Bike Race have announced the lineup for this year’s block party, in Ardmore, Pa. The free, family-friendly, outdoor, fundraiser event will feature music from Mondo Cozmo, George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Partners, The Skatalites, Splintered Sunlight and more.
The festival has partnered with Ardmore Music Hall and Suburban Square for their event, all to the benefit of the non-profit Narberth Ambulance, which is committed to providing pre-hospital care, medical transportation and rescue services to the 145,000 community members living in Lower Merion, Narberth, Haverford, Conshohocken and West Conshohocken.
“The goal is to bring life back to the area while supporting Narberth Ambulance. This
was a difficult year for us all and the race has been so successful in the past that
Narberth Ambulance was able to cover 85 percent of the cost of its newest ambulance
using only proceeds from the past two years of the event,” said Narberth Ambulance
executive director Albert Davey in a press release.
This year’s bike racecourse will flow through the town’s “Suburban Square” and feature a
straightaway down the center of the shopping district strip. The races will begin as early as 8
a.m., while the most competitive cyclists will be seen whipping around town during the
2-4:30 p.m. block.
Riders can sign up for the race, which is officially sanctioned by U.S. Cycling here.
After the race, there will be an official after-party at the Ardmore Music Hall featuring Tauk.
