As you read this I’m probably up in the air somewhere or have just landed in Bangkok. I have pre-planned daily posts for you – just like the one you’re reading now! – so you’ll have a new update to look forward too even when I’m on holiday. The blog redesign launch went well, my home is being looked after, quite a bit of work is finished… All I have to think about now are trivial things like where to purchase banana chewing gum, if I’ll sleep, take a pool dive or unpack first upon arrival, if I should indeed get more ear studs (I like playing around with a top knot to accentuate them), and a possible new pair of sunglasses. I left Amsterdam right at the beginning of summer and that gives me a great excuse to hide behind super size sunnies like the ones I’m wearing. In case you’re wondering, they are by House of Harlow. I actually think I like the tortoise version even more!
Since I often fall for a black frame, in Bangkok I’m hunting down a tortoise pair. I have my eyes set (no pun intended) on something like this by Karen Walker. Other frames I fantasize about are often by Miu Miu, Elizabeth and James or Super and I pick up a fun pair at H&M nearly every season. What are your favorite budget or big buck labels when it comes to sunglasses? I’d love to know your tips to narrow down my options in the searching process.
